Fieldwork and Experience
This is a showcase of teaching placements and youth development leadership roles built through the physical education program at SUNY Cortland and my experience with helping kids be active.

Elementary school placement
During my placement at Homer Elementary School for PED 321 at SUNY Cortland (November–December 2025), I developed and facilitated fundamental movement and motor skills for younger students. This placement focused on creating inclusive and engaging physical education environments that support being confident in basic motor skills and positive peer collaboration through the affective domain.

Middle school teaching field experience
My placement at Corning Middle School for PED 256 at SUNY Cortland (May–June 2026) focused on instructional strategies focused on student development. I led unit plans emphasizing game-like activities, sportsmanship, and lifelong fitness habits.

Youth coaching and community involvement
In addition to school settings, I have directed activities across community youth programs. This includes leading summer cohesion groups for children ages 5–14 (2023–2026) and serving as an activity organizer for TAFFY (Town Activities for Flats Youth) in Big Flats, NY (Summer 2024–2026) to support teamwork and healthy habits for the younger generation.
